Red Terror on the Amber Coast describes the fifty-year reign of terror imposed by Stalin on Lithuania and the other Baltic Republics from the Soviet occupation at the start of World War II until the collapse of the Soviet system. The film is based on interviews with former prisoners, deportees, resisters and slave laborers in the Soviet Gulag, as well as with leading historians and government leaders. Their stories are visually illustrated by an extensive use of rare archival photographs and historic film footage from Eastern Europe.
