How not to defend postal workers by Jay Knott (03/04/12)       ⇌ (Police brutality)

The same retro bunch of commies who sent me the stuff about Carlos Montes are now going on about plans to reduce jobs in the US Postal Service. This poster shows how not to oppose it.

First off, it says "Stop Union Busting". This makes it sound like the union is going to defend the workers' jobs, which it has a poor record of doing.

Secondly, "Racism!"??? Obama's government isn't closing down rural post offices because he doesn't like white people, but because it costs a lot of money to keep them open.

Thirdly, it may be true that "Wall St. wants the postal system sold off to corporate vultures", but why wouldn't it? Commerce has proven a fairly effective way of delivering services. The USPS is an oddity - it's like the USSR in the middle of the USA. You have to answer coherent capitalist arguments, not just shout 'vultures'.
