More support in US for boycott of Arizona than of Israel by Jay Knott (06/02/10)       ⇌ (Israel and the US)

Many cities, colleges and institutions have passed resolutions boycotting the state of Arizona. Isn't it odd in a country notorious for capitalism, imperialism and white supremacy, there is more support for a boycott of one of its own states, Arizona, for restricting illegal immigration, than there is for the proposed boycott of a foreign country for not allowing its inhabitants in? The left is particularly bad - hysterical about the slightest hint of white racism, but not so much about Jewish racism. But the treatment of Mexicans by the Arizona police is nowhere near as bad as Jewish treatment of Palestinians. It's not even fundamentally racist - it's just that the majority of illegal immigrants in Arizona come from Mexico and other Latin American countries. Anyone would think that Jews have more influence in America than white Europeans! However, that cannot be true, because it makes people feel uncomfortable, and reminds them of age-old calumnies, canards and cabals.
