Camilla Power on the crisis in the SWP and women's liberation by Jay Knott (03/12/13) ⇌ (Crisis in the Socialist Workers Party)
Tony Greenstein again weighs in on the crisis in the SWP, which was initiated by an allegation of a sex crime by a leading member. This time he is remarkably coherent and fair, giving several examples of false allegations of sexual harrassment within the left. He follows this up with an interesting essay by anthropologist Camilla Power of the Radical Anthropology Group:
Notice how close Marxism is to "primitivism". Both assume a Garden of Eden in the past, from which the serpent of "alienation" drove us all. I'll limit myself to saying scientists disagree.
