A new Centre for Fascist, Anti-Fascist and Post-Fascist Studies by Jay Knott (01/13/13) ⇌ (Anti-anti-fascism)
"The Centre... at Teesside University will be formally launched later this month at an event marking National Holocaust Memorial Day."
At first glance, this looks like a politically-biased department. When it says 'fascist AND anti-fascist studies' it doesn't mean both viewpoints will be equally represented!
A university would not fund a center for hostile 'studies' of the extreme left, or any other part of the spectrum other than 'fascists'.
However, the founders of the new centre do say that the latest manifestation of right-wing extremism, the English Defence League, is in part a reaction to Islamic extremism:
"Tit-for-tat extremism... think of how the EDL started. You had the Muslims Against Crusades, and then you had nationalists who later became the EDL fighting them. I'm sure anyone from Luton would tell you it's more tense there since that happened."
