Pacifica Forum presents: Alison Weir

Freelance journalist Alison Weir spent a month traveling through the hotspots of Gaza and the West Bank on her own, independent investigation. In her presentation she describes her experiences, shows her slides of the area, and discusses American press coverage of this region, including her organization’s in-depth studies of the New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, the networks and other news media, as well as meetings with editors from around the country.

She is executive director of If Americans Knew.

Weir, regarded as an authority on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, has spoken on Capitol Hill, to business leaders, at prestigious think tanks, and at many universities. Her hour-long speech on the subject was broadcast several times on C-Span.
